Photo Description	Construction of a demonstration solar copra dryer, Nukulaelae atoll, January 1982. The solar dryer was constructed by a group of local workers trained by the Volunteer and utilized mainly local materials including chain sawn coconut timber. The dryer improved the speed and quality of copra (dried coconut meat), Tuvalu's major export crop.
