Photo Description	This is one of my favorite pictures. Mamele was the mother who adopted us into her family and Filifau was her daughter that was just a few years young than me. We loved so much doing things together. In this photo they are sitting a watching a pulaka contest....pulaka is a giant swamp taro and every year there was a contest to see who grew the largest. Some of these pulakas were seven years old!
