In this picture, Volunteer Joy is getting a lesson on weaving the region's famous handwoven buttons from a young girl. Since the handicraft requires very little in terms of raw materials and tools, it is very popular among women and young girls who often learn the craft at a very young age. It allows them to supplement their family's income while being able to socialize a bit with other ladies and keep an eye on the young ones.
