These two Grenadian students are visually impaired and just completed the first-ever, "Resource Centre for the Blind Walkathon" on May 27, 2009. We had just walked 2.5 miles through town and settled down to eat refreshments and proceed with the scheduled program. RCB students were allowed to invite friends and teachers from their schools to accompany them. Teachers on staff and I made placards with slogans to help educate the public on the purpose of our walk. Most persons aren't aware that their Eastern Caribbean island educates blind students in the mainstream schools with the help of itinerant teachers. One girl is reading the braille translation to her friend who isn't a strong braille-reader. The slogan is: "See the person, not the disability"
