This photo was taken in the boarding house restaurant where I took my meals with the other county and city workers who were living away from home in Chung Mu City. The restaurant was run by a woman, her mother, two daughters and young son. They became like family to us. This photo is of them making kimchi from large white dicon radishes. The daughters and son had the family name of Park. Some of the best kimchee has little raw fishes, squid or octopus in the layers of raddish or cabbage. Some shredded carrot is good too.
