Photo Description	This photo was taken in March of 2006 in Uzyn, Kievskaya Oblast, Ukraine, when I had been living with my host family for about a month. On the right is my host "mother" Maria, making sure I was properly dressed to go out into the cold to use the outhouse. I usually failed to cover my head and she knew this was going to make me catch ill. Maria was very proud of me when I finally wore a scarf; she declared that I was now Ukrainian!
