Photo Description	This is my host mother from the village of Phoshiri in northern South Africa (Limpopo Province). The village just received electricity in late 2007 but many of the traditional means of life have not changed (I.e., cooking over a fire). My host mother here was showing me how she kneads the mealies (corn) to make the traditional staple food "bogobe" (pap - or corn meal porridge).
