This photo was taken on our way to the Bandiagara market. I traveled with another volunteer Victor Quintana and friends from my village Koporo-Pen on their donkey carts. They were traveling to Bandiagara to sell their millet grains. Koporo-pen is a Dogon village in the plains off the escarpment, so traveling to Bandiagara meant traveling through the plains and up and over the cliffs to reach the plateau. It was a 50km trip one way.
