Health PCV Monica Skelton poses in front of her larger-than-life malaria mural in her town in Southern Madagascar. Here the mural describes the ways to properly take care of a mosquito net; washing it with bar soap and not detergent, hanging it in the shade to dry, tucking it under the bed every night and sewing holes as soon as they occur to prevent tearing. This mural was the beginning of an on-going project Monica and fellow PCV in the region Sam Beznek are facilitating. A S.W.A.T. (Standing With Africa to Terminate malaria) youth camp will take place within the next few months.
