Jopara is a Guaraní word for "mezcla/mixture" that Peace Corps Paraguay's Diversity and Advocacy Group has adopted for our name. We feel it accurately represents our goals and missions as a group. We work to create a more inclusive and supportive Volunteer community among peers and staff. We have compiled different resources (churches, organizations, cultural centers, etc.) that can serve as in-country support bases for Volunteers. We are currently working on different training modules to provide staff and Volunteers with ally-building skills and knowledge.
