For the event of World AIDS Day, we conducted a two part activity. The first part of the activity was a mini workshop on the transmission and prevention of HIV. When this activity was done, I, along with some members of the health center staff, tied red pieces of yarn on all the participants who consisted of females only. The yarn was to create a solidarity to stop discrimination of individuals living with HIV and promote the awareness. The women really enjoyed this part of the activity and left that day feeling like new promoters of HIV and AIDS. Here, I am placing the last yarn on an indigenous woman.
