I took this photo at my organization's World AIDS Day Awareness Campaign on December 2, 2011 in a village in South Africa. After the formal program of the day, different activites were organized to get the attendees of the event to think about the presence of HIV/AIDS in their own lives. This photo was taken of a child reading the prompt for an activity that had each person write down on a piece of paper how they were personally affected by HIV/AIDS. These pieces of paper were pieced together to form the South Africa flag as a symbol that each and every one of us is affected by HIV/AIDS.
