These nomadic Fulani/Peuhl women have come to Tchamba's weekly Sunday market. They are dressed in their best with beautifully embroidered colorful clothes, brightly colored scarves, multicolored beaded jewelry, beadwork on their head and tatoos. These women have come to the Tchamba area for a few weeks and live in tents. They move north and south with the rain in search of food for their cattle.
I took this photo as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Affem Kabye, Tchamba prefecture, Central Region, Togo where I was in a Safe Motherhood and Child Survival project.
