"Nina Tina", the Catholic priest's domestic engineer in my town of San Pedro Puxtla, Ahuachapan, El Salvador, was showing me how to make "dulces tipicas". This was my first year in site so every new experience I had to capture on film. Nina Tina would make the sweets to sell and therefore supplement her primary source of income. This is just one way that I promoted world peace and friendship with my Salvador friends: welcoming the opportunity to learn how to prepare typical Salvadoran food.
