This is my favorite part of the day in Moldova: when the cows come home. It always happens right around sunset when the cows start walking up the hill and you hear mooooooooooooooooo! for about 30 minutes. They all know where their respective homes are and they come right up to their gate and will stand there and MOOOO until someone let's them in. Some of the younger cows, like this one, haven't quite learned where "home" is yet, so they must be chained in the field instead of being watched by a shepherd. In just a couple of months, Steluța (this cow) will be on her own.
