In August 2011, my dad came to visit Moldova. Like me, he likes to travel... but being my father, he also likes to see where I'm living (because, you know, he has to give his approval. He's cool like that). Anyways, he came to visit for two weeks. We spent the majority of that time in my village, walking around and talking (well, me talking a super lot and him giving me difficult sentences to translate). One of my favorite places to stop while walking to school is at this man's house. You see, he has a dog that is also a doorbell but is a terrible doorbell because she loves to be pet but no one but me likes to pet her. So my dad and I stopped to talk to him and when I brought my camera out he said WAIT! and he went inside. When he came back out he was wearing a button down shirt and he had put on a hat to match my dad. As I took the picture he told me to make two copies: one for him, and one for my dad... so they can always remember each other. At that moment, I think I cried a little bit.
