After a particularly emotionally difficult winter, the only thing I had to look forward to were the bright colors that were going to come with spring. So while I was very sick, I used some of the construction paper that was sent in a care package from home to make some faces for the students to have a response to "how are you" besides "I'm fine thank you, and you?" (which is all great, but we need to switch it up a bit). So now when I ask them, "how are you?" the most used response is, "I am AWESOME". A taste of American slang. That's awesome.
