This picture was taken at one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and Jordan's most popular tourist spot: Petra. 4 volunteers met up for a little excursion out of site. I was walking around Petra on the hot day, and decided to take a picture with a camel. I apparently got too close, and the camel swung his head around to give me a kiss. I jumped about 5 feet back, but the photo was taken just in time. The scarf around my face and head that I'm wearing is called a schmakh. I live in a small beduin village, and the men wear these as such when they go out into the desert to protect their faces from the sun.
