Photo Description	This photo was taken in the fall of 2009, soon after I arrived in my first village of in northeastern Bulgaria. We painted a mural together that featured the Bulgarian and American flags, different kinds of people, peace doves, and beautiful images promoting friendship, acceptance, and understanding. It was an incredible experience and I will always remember how it helped me make new friends and develop lasting bonds with my students in the village.
