Here in my bucataria at the gazda house are some of my talented chefs making a bechamel sauce. It was perfect the first time! There are twelve regular students who cook with me monthly to learn new recipes in English from all parts of the world. We make three or four dishes, have conversation, enjoy good food together which they make themselves, and then, to end the day, we top it all off with a bit of singing, dancing and outdoor play thrown in after clean-up. I have begun writing a cookbook that showcases all which we have experienced. Not only are they learning English and sharing wonderful foods, but my students are gaining skills which promise to last a lifetime.
