This is my neighbor, Mohammed Lamine. He's standing against the outside wall of his compound in Kindia, Guinea. When I first arrived, at the sight of me, he would turn and run away in the opposite direction screaming and crying. Most often, he ran to hide in the house, probably underneath the bed though I didn't follow to confirm my suspicions. After a number of months of showering gifts upon him and singing songs and keeping my distance, he came around. Now we're friends. He even sings a line from Skinamarinky dinky dink "I love you..."
