15 pots of mole sauce were made in preparation for this wedding in a small town in Mexico. The wedding and reception involved 2 small adjacent pueblitos and lasted almost 24 hours. Ultimately, over 800 people were fed a full dinner (cooked and served by family members), with an estimated 1,000 attending the dance afterwards. Family members came from as far as the US (at great risk) to attend this special event.
Following the ceremony in a beautiful small village church, the bride and groom were greeted by a Mariachi band, which played continuously for 12 hours (including the Viennese Waltz for an hour while the bride and groom danced with family members; the Viennese Waltz played by a Mariachi band is truly unique).
