Photo Description	This photo was taken at the traditional Peulh wedding ceremony of a fellow Peace Corps Response Volunteer, on June 2, 2011 in Mamou, Guinea. The bride changes costumes several times throughout her wedding ceremonies - this is the second of three, comprising religious, cultural & civil. She typically carries an umbrella in this part of the ceremony, as she travels back to her father's house from the house of the groom's father. Both her umbrella & dress are decorated with money given to her family by the groom's family & friends, as a forfeit for releasing her into their care. In this case the money is 10,000 GNF notes, the largest denomination of Guinean currency, which is worth about $1.50.
