I took this photo at the graduation ceremony at the Institut Superieur de Technologie de Mamou, on July 20, 2011. This was the 3rd graduation ceremony for the IST, which was founded in 2005 as Guinea's national polytechnic university. The 2 students received their Licence diploma, the equivalent of the Bachelor's degree, in Information Technology. As is customary for graduates, they're dressed in black pants, white shirts & ties - the shorter, the cooler. These particular students were 2 of my favorites. Although I didn't teach their class, I helped them with their final project, which involved designing a website for the Governor's office. The Governor of Mamou, along with the IST's Director General, presented their diplomas; they graduated with the equivalent of high honors. Later that day, these students competed with the graduates of the other 6 departments in a soccer match. Their team won.
