A fellow PCV, Jack, and I returned to visit our sites in June, 2004. We held a craft day for the children at the library, which included shield painting, bead stringing, face painting and making Ndebele dolls. The library was part of Jack's site, but I helped out because of my library experience back home and because some of the teachers from my site lived in Mayflower, where the library is located. We both tried very hard to promote the use of the library, which had not really been part of the culture up until we volunteered there.
