Tewe Vaval ceremony as celebrated by the native Kalinago tribe to mark the end of "King Carnival". A colorful cardboard coffin effigy of the "King" is slowly paraded up and down the streets in Kalanago territory to the sound of repeated chants, waving palm leaves, and beat of drums and blow of conch shells. At the end of the march, the coffin is stacked on top of a heap of dried palm leaves and the tribal men jump through the flames to show their bravery.
