I took this photo at a Masai celebration outside of my site in Kibaya, Tanzania. Our area has a high concentration of Masai, so when we were invited to attend an event, we were really excited. The celebration consisted of eating fresh cow meat (includig heart) with the village elders, much dancing, singing and jumping. This is a picture of the leading Masai warrier as his class were processing into the village. Each year of born Masai males are considered a class and will perfrom seperately during events. The warrier pictured was leading his class into the boma single file as they were all chanting and humming deeply. This photo was taken on August 8th 2011
