PCV Jon E. Berg served as the project manager for the “Nha Terra” campaign, an island-wide campaign with the goal of reducing the consumption of sea turtle meat, on behalf of TAOLA (Cape Verde Sea Turtle Protection Network). Delta Cultura, a local batuku group (traditional drumming), participated in the campaign by writing and performing a song about sea turtles at each road show. The 11 road show events coincided with the summer nesting season, June through August 2011, and had a total of approximately 1520 attendees.
