I took this photo of my wife, PCV Melinda Bothe, at a Masai celebration. My wife and I both serve as science teachers in Kibaya, Tanzania. Our site as many different ethnic traditional cultures with the Masai being the most popular. Having of been invited to this celebration was a really special experience for us because this is a rare and wonderful oppurtunity to see a completely different way of life from the one I had growing up in a New Jersey suburb. This was also a legitamate celebration deep in the bush and not one atifically put on for tourists up by the national parks. This photo was taken on August 8th, 2011 (Melinda's Birthday as well!)
