Photo Description	To celebrate Earth Day 2011, I coordinated various events with the elementary schoolin the town where I work. I did a workshop with each class, teaching the children not to litter and the importance of recycling. Then, we created posters with Earth-friendly messages and had a big parade through the community. We were accompanied by the high school band and we chanted positive messages to spread the word to the town's population (e.g. "Happy Earth Day!" "Protect the Earth by Recycling!"). After the parade, we celebrated in the municipality with Earth-friendly snacks- various types of fruit. This photo was taken when the first group of students were entering the main plaza.
