Second year Peace Corps health Volunteer, Duncan, observes as his Dzoole, Malawian counterpart, Baxter, gets a traditional tattoo on May 11, 2011. The traditional healer burns herbs and places two small cuts on Baxter’s hands, chest and forehead, to protect him from harm. In a country that has 10.6 HIV/AIDS prevalence, Duncan makes sure that the traditional healer uses new razors, antiseptic and gloves during the process.
