I took this photo on August 11, 2011. It illustrates two of my Year 10 female students, Natashia Shing (left) & Judy Taleo (right), from the Onesua Presbyterian College in North Efate, Vanuatu, researching the internet for their Computer Science Course 1 research project. Our computer science lab opened on October 2009 with internet service available in February 2010; on March 2011 we upgraded our lab to include 28 customized, individual computers giving more students the opportunity to use the lab. When Natashia and Judy first entered my class in 2010 as Freshmen students they had never used a computer. Today, they are among my brightest student. Access to technology and the internet has exposed them to the rest of the world and revolutionized their' lives.
