Photo Description	This photo was taken at the end of 2010 during a birthday party in my compound. The child pictured is from Sanneh compound in Sifoe village, The Gambia. He was the Birthday Boy for the day. As part of my second goal, I regularly held birthday parties for the small children in my host family. We played various classic American birthday games, 'Pin the Tail on the Donkey' being the favorite. It was always exciting to the research and celebrate the special day because most children have no idea when their birthday actually is. Also, allowing them to take a break from the everyday chores and hardships continued to put a smiles on everyone's' faces. So much fun!
