This photo was taken one Sunday morning in Kanye, Botswana. I was still living with the Sengalo family during my first two months of training. Because Sunday morning was my only free morning of the week, I would always stay in my pajamas a little longer and enjoy tea and coffee with my mom and sisters. The notebook and pen on the corner of the table serve as my place setting, where I would often get impromptu Setswana lessons and would have to be prepared with pen in hand. Here I've captured their candid smiles, as they were thrilled at the sight of my camera and amused at my attempts at Setswana.
