This photo was taken in December 2010 shortly after Tongan Group 76 swear-in. We were invited to 'Ofa's house for a Christmas dinner. She was our language and culture teacher in training. 'Ofa means love and she is so well named. She loved teaching Tongan to PCVs and had been doing so for many years, so she was pretty aware of American culture and habits, but she had never received a US flag handkerchief before and was quick to put it to use. She retired this year and has moved to Fiji, so we were the last class to know the love of 'Ofa.
