Photo Description	I took this photo during the second day of a soap-making training with the women in my village family. The two day liquid soap-making class was held in the courtyard in my village in Burkina Faso. My family was so excited that all of the children came to help as well. We had just finished adding the blue coloring to the soap and the women were starting to bottle it into used plastic soda bottles that we collected. The photo is of my younger brother, Salfo, holding his baby brother, Abdoul Karim while his mom helps bottle soap. I love this photo because Burkina Faso is a male dominant society and it felt great to capture the moment of a young boy helping out his mother with the responsibilities of the family so she could focus on an income generating activity for herself. In Burkina Faso, we encourage gender equality whenever possible and it was great to see my efforts be successful. Every small accomplishment counts for a Peace Corps Volunteer!
