Photo Description	Another big part of the solid waste management project was the clean-ups organized at the neighborhood level. Generally in Senegal "cleaning up" is women's work. Men and children throw their garbage on the floor expecting women to clean it up. The Solid Waste Management project in Joal, Senegal had an educational component that included how to separate the waste as well as having everyone in the family participate in throwing their trash into the waste containers - one for organics (which was turned into compost) and the other for non-oragnics. A side benefit of the solid waste management project is that the work of women was signifiantly reduced - as attested to in the documentary by the women.
