Photo Description	Taken at the dispensary in Illela, Niger, 1976. I worked with the midwife at the health center to teach pregnant women how to care for themselves, and worked with those who had just given birth, like this young Hausa woman. We taught health classes, weighed newborns, and taught women how to feed, care for, and wean their children.
