This photo was taken in March of 2011 in a rural village in Morocco. In the photo are two fellow Volunteers who had come to visit my site for my birthday. As we were walking around my village, the Sheikh (center) invited us all in for tea, as he always does when I run into him in town. Over tea, we discussed where we were all from in the United States, my birthday, and a variety of other things. But, eventually the conversation settled on the fact that the Sheikh thinks it is hilarious that I fawn over the baby goats his family owns whenever I see them in town. When he told this to the other Volunteers, they laughed, but also agreed that baby goats are very cute. At that, the Sheikh asked us if we all wanted to take photos with the baby goats, leading to this photo of the three men. Ever since then, whenever I have visitors to my village, we always go to tea at the Sheikh's home and then take pictures with the baby goats afterwards. It has become our own little tradition.
