After completing a very successful first annual set of Girls Leadership Camps in the Northern Region of Ghana in 2009, the PCV's involved helped the Ministry of Education (MOE) clean up the SSS classrooms and dorms we had borrowed. We loaded the MOE truck with mattresses and cooking utensils to take it an hour by dirt road into the regional capital when we realized the cooks who had helped us those weeks had no transport home. We invited them to join us on top of the teetering pile of supplies back to the city, and they were happy. They climbed on first, laughing hysterically at the precarious ride. Soon after the photo, four PCV's joined them for a very exciting ride back to the city!
