Waleska, Brenda, Herson, and Marco are children I tutored after school in 2001. They would come to my home, do homework, and play with my things. One hot day they decided to tutor me and show me around the surrounding area. They decided my education should start down by the river. We played in pools until just before dusk and then decided to take the long way home. The long way took us along the path that Hurricane Mitch eroded two years earlier. They showed me gorges that Mitch carved and the watermark on my neighbors’ houses where water stood for days.
