Photo Description	This photo is from the late 1970's in the Kasai Occidental region of DR Congo (then known as Zaire). I'm behind the wheel and fellow Volunteer is helping line up the planks. We were both Peace Corps Regional Representatives which was a 3rd year Volunteer opportunity in those days to help manage the Volunteers in such a huge country with no infrastructure. As representatives in each sub-region, we were given motorola radios for daily communication with Peace Corps HQ in Kinshasa, a land rover (after a 2 week mechanics training course) and a small rep house in the regional capital. I was the Regional Rep for Kasai Oriental, in Mbuji Mayi. Randy was the Regional Rep for Kasai Occidental in Kananga.
