Photo Description	My dear friend, Cora, in front of her newly-updated home in El Paragua, La Republica Dominicana. The kitchen is the new addition on the left. Previously, her "kitchen" had consisted of a fire pit in the middle of the front room of her house. We convinced her, and her husband Mellizo, that because of the dangers of smoke inhalation for her and her children it would be best to construct a shelter apart from the original structure to house the cooking fire.
