My husband and I met when we were Volunteers in the Eastern Province of Zambia, in 2004. It was PC Zambia's 10 year anniversary, and we met at the All Volunteer conference for the occasion. I sang the national anthem for the crowd, and he played Steve Miller Band on the guitar. We met again at provincial meetings and again when our province was consolidated for 11 straight days by the Embassy RAO. The rest was history. Six years later we're married, and just had a daughter, Ella, in June. Naturally, we brought her home in this onesie with the Zambian flag on it, so she'd always remember where it all began. A fellow RPCV sewed on the patch.
