Photo Description	This photo was taken July 22, 2008 at the wedding of Kate and Edward on the beach in Nereingman Village, Mota Lava, Vanuatu. It was the first wedding to take place outside of a church and the first between a Peace Corps Volunteer and someone from Mota Lava. They had a christian ceremony on the beach followed by a custom wedding ceremony at the family compound. The photo was taken from inside the alter that had been created on the beach, the wedding party is getting ready to walk in and start the ceremony. Weddings do not have invitations, everyone is invited and so there were close to 500 people scattered around the beach to watch the ceremony.
