Ronald Webster was the Chief Minister of Anguilla who insisted Anguilla needed a Social Security Program for the people of the island. In spite of heavy opposition from people concerned about the corrupt use of the funds generated by the program, he successfully created the office and program. Now, over 30 years later, the Anguilla Social Security Office is a big success on the island, has helped many Anguillians with their needs in sickness and in retirement. Additionally, they have managed the funds in a very conscientious manner and has a bright long term future.
