Photo Description	An average hot August night in Azerbaijan, this is my neighbor and her new grandchild. I think she was always confused about my presence there. Having experienced the Soviet Union, Grandma was reluctant to trust foreigners, even young people like me. This picture expresses the unique bond between family members. The head scarf worn by Grandma is a representation of women's wear in Azerbaijan. In the yard where this picture was taken, women gossip and children chase goats, play hopscotch and eat "dondurma" (ice cream) during warm months. Shot Summer, 2009.
