Photo Description	This picture was taken by my host sister in my village of Dinguiraye, Haute Guinea on the last day of Ramadan in 2008. It shows my host mom, "Mama Kadi" in her finest celebration clothes, and myself wearing a "bazin complet" dress and a veil that was given to me as a gift from my host aunt who had just made the pilgrimage to Mecca the year before. We are pictured sitting outside the mosque on our prayer mats on the women's side on the last day of Ramadan, after 30 days of fasting. You can see dressed up little kids in the background running to find their families to sit with for the prayer. Later that day we feasted on roasted goat, and went around greeting all of our friends and family.
