Patrick Leahy, the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Department of State and Foreign Operations. The delegation included Peace Corps Director Aaron S. Williams, Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND), Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC), Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA) and Rep. Peter Welch (D-VT).
