Locally developed farm implements are exhibited and demonstrated at village fairs as a means of inducing farmers to adopt them. The picture shows Pakistani farmers looking at some new implements at a village fair near Gujranwala. During the ten years of America’s partnership with Pakistan in promoting national development, the two countries have worked together on more than 20 major projects in the field of agriculture. This work has covered a number of activities ranging from water development and plant protection to extension services and soil conservation programs.
